Meet the Printer
LAUREN CARDENAS is a Texas native and collaborative printer for Saturday Press. She is the editor and founder of PIECRUST Magazine, Co-director of Museum Blue and part of the steering committee of the St. Louis Small Press Expo. Cardenas holds a BA in Fine Art from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX, she is Tamarind trained printer, and holds a MFA in Visual Art from Washington University in St. Louis. She has worked at Flatbed Press, Austin, TX, The Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop,New York, NY, Tamarind Institute, Albuquerque, NM, Peacock Visual Arts, Aberdeen, Scotland, The Firecracker Press and Island Press in St. Louis, MO
